A lively little spot posted up here in Temple City, CA. Amazing food, libations, service and ambience. We started out with some drinks and appetizers. Apps: We had the bacon wrapped shrimp, which was to die for! Libations: I had the Siren's Song and my best friend had the Paradise Punch. Our husbands had the Tokyo Old Fashioned. These drinks were well made and soooo good. Food: Fried Shrimp Po'Boy, the Shrimp and Grits, the Gumbo, the Lobster Roll, the Dive Clam Chowder and the Chicken Po' Boy, it was a hit! Everything was delicious. Nice presentation. Quality meats, fish. Generous portions. And above all, tasty and so so delicious! Let me tell you. We have been all over the world and have had our share of good food. When I tell you this was some of the best creole food we've ever had, hands down. We've been to New Orleans, where they are known for their Gumbo and Po'Boys, and when I tell you The Dive in Temple City, CA has Nola beat, that's a big deal! And the fact that they are within a mile radius of where we live, this can be both a good and bad thing. Lol. Service: From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted and seated right away. Keep in mind, it was a Friday just past Happy Hour and this place was packed. The whole time, our server was very attentive and super friendly. Ambience: Aesthetically pleasing. A DJ on Friday and Saturday nights. This dude was on fire with the music. I had to go over and make his acquaintance and let him know he was killing it on the 1's and 2's. I even got his card for future use. Full bar, TV's, open kitchen concept, which we love. Conclusion: It's a vibe! We love The Dive! We loved it so much our first time we came back two days later with our son. It's that good, we left craving this place. Do yourself and favor and check it out. You can thank me later. Date night, friends outing, a place to watch the game, family, whatever your thing is, it works for all to enjoy. We happened to meet the owner, awesome dude. Humble, gracious and kind. From meeting him, I can see why his business is thriving. We will definitely be repeats here! Parking can be a major situation here. Especially if it is a weekend. There is a parking structure under ground. Cheers!

Food: love the taste and the selection. I would definitely return for the food. Service: very nice friendly servers and made us feel welcomed. Environment: nice and roomy. It feels comfortable and happy to dine in. Price: average in the $20-30. I think they are worthy for the quality of the food and the atmosphere. I definitely will come back with my friends and family.

The dive is a cool spot in Temple City. One of the only places you can find a pan roast. By far the number reason to visit this place. Everything is solid. Good apps. Good drinks. Service is good. The vibe is chill. Laid back. Causal. Good with friends if you want to enjoy a sports game. Parking is easy with an underground structure. Overall: will return

Definitely came for happy hour oysters, but ordered a lot off their small bites list like I was at TGIFridays. Had reservations for a Tuesday and was pretty busy after a while. The HH Oysters were the cheaper ones (can't remember the name) and we also ordered sprouts, cajun truffle fries, popcorn crawfish, and a grilled cheese with pan roast. The winner of the night was easily the sprouts. Perfectly crispy and some sweetness from the vineigarette. The worst dish was the popcorn crawfish. They gave a decent size basket, but the crawfish were tiny and mostly breading. Pan roast is delicious, but can get fairly one note after a while. Outside of that, service was SUPER friendly and checked in a good amount. Lively interior. All in all a great experience, will be back!
